Ingredients

  • Shelled and washed jumbo prawns
  • Maggi Coconut Milk Powder
  • Yoghurt
  • Ginger, grated
  • Garlic, finely chopped
  • Coriander (ground)
  • Cumin (ground)
  • Chillie powder
  • Juice of small lemon
  • Tomato Puree
  • Onion, finely chopped
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Oil
  • 400 gm
  • 50 gm
  • 150 ml
  • 1 piece
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 tbsp
  • ½ tbsp
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 tsp
  • 50 gm
  • 1 (small)
  • To taste
  • 50 ml

Method

  • 1. Place the prawns in a suitable pan.
  • 2. Mix together the yoghurt, salt, pepper, MAGGI Coconut Milk Powder, garlic, onions, tomato puree, chili powder, coriander, cumin and lemon juice.
  • 3. Pour this mixture over the prawns, mix well and leave to marinate for at least 2 hours.
  • 4. Take a suitable ovenproof tray, apply half the oil and lay the prawns.
  • 5. Grill under the salamander, turning the pieces over once or gently cook in a moderate oven at 180oC for 10 – 15 minutes.
  • 6. Paste with the remaining oil.
  • 7. Serve on a bed of lettuce with garnish.
