Try out this decadent, dense, and sweet halwa that is fit for the royals and yet is surprisingly simple to make. Made from dried figs and Nestlé Everyday Shahi Ghee, its grainy texture is highly appetising and perfect for a special gathering with loved ones. The creaminess provided by Nestlé MILKMAID® sweetened condensed milk takes its flavour a notch higher.
- Nestlé MILKMAID® sweetened condensed milk1/2 tin (200g)
- Milk1/2 litre
- Fig (anjeer) dry chopped into bits250 g
- Ghee2 tbsp
- Badam (almonds) blanched and cut into silvers8/10
Prepare Anjeer Halwa
- Step 1
Soak fig bits in warm milk for an hour. Grind to a paste.
- Step 2
Heat ghee in a pan. Add Nestlé MILKMAID® sweetened condensed milk and fig paste, cook on medium heat, stirring constantly till it leaves the sides.
Serve hot garnished with chopped almonds.
