Vanilla Crème Brûlée

Crème brûlée, also known as ‘burnt cream’  is an exotic dessert that consists of a rich vanilla-flavoured custard base topped with a contrasting layer of hard caramel. This recipe is prepared with simple ingredients like milk, custard powder, castor sugar, and a generous layer of Nestlé MILKMAID® condensed milk.     350 ml
  • Nestlé MILKMAID® condensed milk
    170 g
  • Custard powder
    20 g
  • Salt
  • Vanilla essence
    10 ml

How to Make Vanilla Crème Brûlée

Prepare Vanilla Crème Brûlée

  • Step 1

    To make the custard paste, add the custard powder to 50 ml of warm milk and make a smooth paste. Keep aside.

  • Step 2

    Cook the rest of Nestlé Milk and the Nestlé MILKMAID® condensed milk in a thick-bottomed pan until boiling.

  • Step 3

    Slowly add the prepared custard paste and stir vigorously using a whisk until it coats the back of the spoon. Add the salt and vanilla essence.

  • Step 4

    Pour in ramequins or containers and chill for 3-4 hours.

  • Serving Suggestions:

     Sprinkle caster sugar on the cooled crème brûlée and torch till the sugar crackles and caramelizes.
