  • Nestlé MILKMAID® Condensed Milk
  • Water for syrup
    1 cup (150 ml)
  • Ghee
    To fry
  • Sugar for syrup
    1 cup (175 g)
  • Mixed dried fruits
    1 tbsp
  • Bread
    8 slices
  • Elaichi (cardamom) powder
    1 tsp
  • Cornflour
    1 tsp
  • Milk
    1 cup (150 ml)
How to Make Shahi Tukda

Prepare Shahi Tukda

  • Step 1

    Make a paste of cornflour with 2-3 tbsp milk.

  • Step 2

    Mix Nestlé MILKMAID® Condensed Milk with the rest of the milk.

  • Step 3

    Bring milk mixture to boil.

  • Step 4

    Add cornflour paste. Keep stirring constantly until thick. Add elaichi powder.

  • Step 5

    Prepare the syrup by boiling water and sugar together. Strain and keep aside.

  • Step 6

    Cut bread slices into two and deep fry in ghee till golden brown. Immediately put the fried bread into the sugar syrup. Dip for a fraction of a minute, so that the tukras remain crisp.

  • Step 7

    Remove from syrup and arrange in a serving dish.

  • Step 8

    Top each piece of prepared bread with 1 tbsp. mixture of Nestlé MILKMAID® and nuts.

  • Serving Suggestions:

    Garnish with pistachios, almonds and serve
