Celebrate Eid in a grand way with the royal Sheer Khurma! Indulge your customers with this aromatic and silken vermicelli pudding that finds its origin in the Mughal era. The dessert that translates to ‘sweetened milk with dried dates’ in Urdu is served during Eid, and relished in the company of friends and family.
- Milk5 cups (750 ml)
- Nestlé MILKMAID® Condensed Milk200g
- Cashew nuts10
- Ghee4 tbsp
- Thin vermicelli50 g
- Sliced seedless dates5
- Blanched and sliced almonds10
- Blanched and sliced pistachios10
- Blanched chironji2 tbsp
- Melon seed1 tbsp
Prepare Sheer Khurma
- Step 1
Heat 2 tbsp of ghee in a pan and fry the vermicelli till brown, keep aside.
- Step 2
In a pan, heat milk to boil, add the vermicelli and simmer till it is cooked.
- Step 3
Add MILKMAID® and dates in the vermicelli and mix well. Heat well to get a thick mixture and transfer into a bowl.
- Step 4
Heat the remaining ghee in a pan.
- Step 5
Add the nuts and melon seeds. When they turn golden brown, add raisins.
- Step 6
Pour this over the vermicelli mixture.
