Doodhiya Kheech

Do not miss out on the delicious Doodhiya Kheech that has its origin in Udaipur. Its texture is similar to that of rabdi although wheat is used to thicken this dessert. In order to prepare this dessert, whole wheat is soaked overnight and drained, and other ingredients like milk, Nestlé MILKMAID®, and saffron are added to it. Serve hot with a garnish of almonds, raisins, and pista.

How to Make Doodhiya Kheech

Prepare Doodhiya Kheech

  • Step 1

    Grind wheat to a coarse mix.

  • Step 2

    Take a deep bottomed pan, add milk, water and wheat all together, and start cooking on medium flame until it boils.

  • Step 3

    Keep stirring occasionally and cook till done. Add MILKMAID®, saffron, half of the nuts and cook again for five minutes.

  • Step 4

    Once it’s done, remove from heat, add cardamom powder, mix well and serve immediately garnished with nuts.
